The Pat Cooke Fellowship Model
Our Vision
The Pat Cooke Fund is a collaborative of educators, activists, game changers, and visionaries all working to save our planet from the devastation of climate change. We believe this is a global problem and a personal one. Each of us has the power to make change that needs to happen today.
Our Fellows are leading the work by incorporating environmental themes into their teaching content, and helping students to explore the interconnectedness of environmental sustainability with Math, Humanities, History, languages, and of course, Science. Fellows determine what it is they want to study, then plan and undertake a personalized professional development experience that they bring back to their classrooms and schools.
What is a Pat Cooke Fellow?
A Pat Cooke Fellow is a teacher, a lifelong learner, a collaborator, and an advocate for our planet. Fellows are innovators, visionaries, and risk-takers. They are educators whose classrooms include the troves of information and experience available through travel, who understand the importance of connections to other cultures, and who are always asking new questions.

Fellows bring their PD experience back to their students, their colleagues, and to each other through annual gatherings of the Pat Cooke Fund at The Boston Foundation where they share their experiences with the Foundation and associates.
