Supporting Leaders in Environmental Activism
Pat Cooke Fellows are leaders in the work of environmental justice and education who incorporate environmental themes into their curriculum. They help students explore the interconnectedness of environmental sustainability with Math, Humanities, History, languages, and, of course, Science. Fellows shape their own studies, then plan a personalized professional development experience that they bring back to their classroom and school.
What is a Pat Cooke Fellow?
Pat Cooke Fellows are teachers, lifelong learners, collaborators, and advocates for our planet. Fellows are innovators, visionaries, and risk-takers. They are educators whose classrooms include the troves of information and experience available through travel, who understand the importance of connections to other cultures, and who are always asking new questions.

Fellows bring their Professional Development experience back to their students, their colleagues, and to each other through annual gatherings of the Pat Cooke Fund at The Boston Foundation, where they share their experiences with the Foundation and associates.
